Charged with Harassment or Stalking in Pennsylvania?
Fight Back with an Experienced Defense Lawyer!
Stalking is defined under PA criminal laws as repeatedly following or committing other acts upon a person with an intent to place the person in reasonable fear or bodily injury, or otherwise cause the person substantial emotional distress.
Harassment is the intent to annoy or alarm the other person by repeatedly committing acts that serve no legitimate purpose.
Both these charges are commonly brought about by disgruntled ex-boyfriends or girlfriends, and can be fought on the facts and merits of the claim.
Since these charges can also be elements of a domestic violence charge, you need to have an experienced defense lawyer to help work through these claims, and keep yourself from getting a criminal record, and facing potentially severe penalties and consequences to your life. I know how to beat harassment and stalking charges, and can make the right argument to a judge for a chance at a dismissal, or to win your case in a trial if necessary.

Pennsylvania Stalking/Harassment Penalties
Stalking is a Misdemeanor 1 under Pennsylvania law if it is a first offense, which carries a maximum of 5 years in prison.
If you are facing a 2nd offense stalking charge or have a prior domestic violence conviction on your record, you can be charged with a Felony 3, with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison.
Harassment may be a Summary Offense or a Misdemeanor 3, depending on how it is charged. A 3rd degree misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail.
Stalking/Harassment charges are also in the category of domestic violence, if you have a legally qualified domestic relationship with the alleged victim. Please consult my Pennsylvania domestic violence page for more details.
